Shardul Thakur, who went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction, has set the stage on fire so far in the league. After being roped in as a replacement for Mohsin Khan for Lucknow Super Giants, the fast bowler has proved why he was brought by the team. In the two games, he has looked sensational with the ball. After picking two wickets in the opening game against Delhi Capitals, Shardul Thakur ensured that he registered his best performance in the IPL. The pacer was all over the Sunrisers Hyderabad batters with his bowling as he bowled superbly in the powerplay and death. Shardul returned with the figures of 4/34 in his four overs and helped his team restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to a total of under 200. The duo added 116 runs for the second wicket as they chased the target with five wickets in hand and around four overs to win the match to register their first win of the tournament.
