The Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper Shreyas Iyer demolished the Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer Prasidh Krishna in the 5th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Tuesday, March 25. Shreyas Iyer switched on his beast mode in the 17th over of the innings after Prasidh Krishna hit him brutally on the ribcage with a short ball. Iyer responded to the painful blow by dispatching Krishna for a six over wide long-on. On the next ball, Iyer smashed a four over backward point, before smashing back-to-back sixes to punish the pacer. On the last ball as well, Iyer went for a six but he was denied it by Rahul Tewatia, who showcased an exceptional fielding effort on the boundary line. Iyer smashed the delivery from Krishna towards long-on, where Tewatia stretched as far as he could, grabbed the ball over his head, and threw it back inside. The third umpire watched multiple replays of Tewatia’s efforts before declaring that everything was fine and Shreyas Iyer was denied a six. Also, Prasidh Krishna finished with 24 runs in that over.
