Bangladesh National Cricket Team pacer Taskin Ahmed has provided an update about his availability for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He revealed that Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) contacted him and they wanted to know if he would be getting NOC for the league. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are in a spot of bother ahead of the IPL 2025. The Rishabh Pant-led side are mulling over the fitness of their key pacers. There is no clarity as of yet if Avesh Khan, Akash Deep, and Mayank Yadav will be available for the season or not. Lucknow Super Giants added Shardul Thakur to the team in place of Mohsin Khan There have been a lot of reports circulating on the internet that Lucknow Super Giants have added Shardul Thakur to the team in place of Mohsin Khan. Although the official confirmation is yet to come, the pacer has been training with the team for the last few weeks. Since the last few days, there also have been reports that Lucknow Super Giants will be roping in Taskin Ahmed as one of the replacements. If that happens, he will be the only Bangladesh player that will feature in the ongoing edition as others went unsold. They asked if I was available, as they were considering me for a replacement if needed – Taskin Ahmed on LSG Taskin Ahmed revealed that Lucknow Super Giants contacted him regarding him being a replacement. He said that if he is called up by the franchise, he is hopeful that he will get NOC. Speaking to reporters, he explained: “The contact was made because… In the mega auction, no Bangladeshi player was picked. In big tournaments, many players are brought in as replacements. Lucknow had contacted me in this regard. They asked if I was available, as they were considering me for a replacement if needed. “They were checking whether I would get an NOC if called as a replacement. If I get a call from anyone, I hope I will get the NOC this time.” If I get a call, there shouldn’t be any issues with the NOC – Taskin Ahmed Taskin Ahmed added that he has spoken to BCB and if Lucknow Super Giants calls him, there won’t be issues with NOC. He explained: “If they need me, that’s the first thing. If they need someone and I am fit, then the NOC request is considered. I have spoken to the board. If I get a call, there shouldn’t be any issues with the NOC, based on the discussions we’ve had. “The first thing is that I need to get the call. If selected, I am hopeful about getting the NOC. Based on my discussions with the board, there shouldn’t be any problems with the NOC this year.” Lucknow Super Giants currently have the services of Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Shamar Joseph amongst the other pacers in the LSG squad. They will open their campaign against Delhi Capitals on March 24th at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
