In a recent development, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have received a boost following their defeat against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Fast bowler Avesh Khan, who was recovering from a right knee issue, has been cleared to join Lucknow Super Giants for the tournament. Avesh has been out of action since late January. He had been dealing with discomfort in his right knee. The report added that Avesh underwent his final fitness test on Monday before receiving approval to return to action. “ESPNcricinfo has learned that Avesh, who had been dealing with a problem in his right knee, got the go-ahead from the BCCI medical staff this week and will soon join the LSG squad,” the report read. “It is understood that he was experiencing discomfort in his right knee, which was related to his workload during the domestic season. It is understood he went through one of his final fitness tests on Monday,” the report added. Avesh Khan’s Comeback Date for LSG Yet to Be Decided The report added that Avesh Khan’s return date to the Super Giants squad is not confirmed. However, he is expected to be available for their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 27. LSG, who lost their season opener to Delhi Capitals, have been struggling with injuries to key Indian fast bowlers. Mayank Yadav, already recovering from a lumbar stress injury, recently suffered a toe injury.
